At the end of January, I booked a last minute flight to Paris for a long weekend break (viva spontaneity) & ended up seeing all of the places & sights I've wanted to visit for such a long time including the Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre & Notre-Dame.
I also managed to visit Sephora's flag ship store in Champs-Élysées which is probably one of the craziest make-up store experiences I've ever had. It is a huge store with what seems to have about 100+ people working & the security on the doors scan you when you go in - almost similar to something you'd experience at airports which was rather strange to me. Although, I was asked a good 7 times if i needed any help, I really enjoyed my time in the store & looking at all the products & brands you can't get in the UK.
I managed to pick up some items I've been looking at for a while & tried out a few new ones as I've never bought anything from Sephora before. The first of these was a selection of face & lip masks. I am a complete die-hard fan when it comes to sheet masks & as I usually pay around £20 for the Hydraluron ones from Boots, I loved being able to buy single ones from Sephora as well as lip sheets which I've never come across before & also sleeping masks which come as small gel pots.
I'm yet to try the sleeping masks but both the face & lip masks are insanely good - they're almost dripping in serum so I make sure I keep the packaging afterwards for a second application the night afterwards & they give you a really deep level of moisture which is great for winter skin & especially for those who join me on the dry/combination team.
I also bought a fan brush (finally) which I've been using to apply my highlight - I find it makes it much more subtle than other brushes I've been using & the application is more precise, especially when doing the bridge of the nose & tops of the cheekbones.
The next to last item was a matte white eyeshadow which I've wanted for a while as I find that where I'm naturally so pale, it's hard to find anything that will brighten up & lighten my eyelids even further than my foundation. Even though it's a bit daunting using a white eyeshadow, Sephora's Let It Snow is perfect for my skin tone & makes the rest of my eye make-up look a lot cleaner.
Lastly, I wanted to try out another finishing powder so I went with Sephora's Smoothing & Finishing Powder. Finishing powder isn't a product I'd use every day but I've found that this one is great for when i have a little bit time to add some underneath the eyes, centre of the forehead & on the chin.
All in all, I'm loving all of my buys so far:

- Sephora Pomegranate Sheet Mask - €3.95
